The IceRays finished out their series against New Mexico on “Pink The Rink” night. Zach Holstrom scored his first goal as a member of the IceRays and that kicked off the scoring. Holstrom then assisted his linemate Zachary Lindsay for a 2-0 advantage. That was al the scoring for the IceRays when New Mexico scored two straight goals to force overtime. Both squads picked up a point and after no scoring in overtime, the Mustangs scored in the fifth round of the shootout to get the extra point.

The IceRays hosted New Mexico to start off the weekend series on Thursday night and picked up their third shutout of the year, and second shutout over New Mexico with a 3-0 win. Zachary Lindsay got the IceRays on the board and Brandon Smith recorded the other two goals in the win. Anthony Stolarz stopped 36 shots in the win.

Tonight was a different night for the IceRays as they were the one’s to take the lead in the first period on a excellent move by Phil Pietroniro around the defenseman and beat Matt Leon through the legs for a 1-0 lead. Jonathan Grebosky was the story of this game as he picked up the next three goals for the IceRays capping off the hat-trick with an empty net goal. It was the first hat-trick for the IceRays in the NAHL.

The IceRays could not overcome an early deficit and fell to the Wichita Falls Wildcats 3-1 on Friday night. Danny Fetzer scored the lone goal for Corpus Christi on a short-handed breakaway after forcing an interception. Matt Leon stood on his head for Wichita Falls helping the win.

The IceRays traveled overnight to Odessa to face the Jackalopes on Saturday night and things did not go as planned. Corpus Christi trailed 3-1 after the second period of action, then the Jacks’ put up three goals in the third period on route to a 6-1 win.

The IceRays got out to a 3-0 lead after two periods of action inside the American Bank Center, however in the third period the Wildcats scored two goals in the first 1:30 to pull within one goal. They tied it later in the perios to force overtime. In OT, Frank Misuraca took a shot through a screen and beat goaltender JoJo Jeanetta for the win.

The IceRays defeated the Wichita Falls Wildcats on Thursday night 5-2. Corpus Christi trailed 1-0 before putting up five consecutive goals to take a 5-1 lead after two periods of action. The Wildcats added a goal in the third period, however the IceRays picked up the victory 5-2.

The IceRays had a huge rebound game against the Bulls as Chris Taff gave Corpus Christi the lead after the first period of play 1-0 over Amarillo. They led heading into the third period after no goals were scored in the second period. The Bulls took the lead 2-1 on two quick goals however Travis Maxwell tied the game with a little over two minutes left in the game. Danny Fetzer and Dmitry Ermakov scored in the shootout to give Corpus Christi a 3-2 shootout victory.
